Secure and simple but slow support
Pros
What stood out to me was how effortless it was to join a virtual conference. We used it for a benefits event, and navigating between sessions was incredibly smooth. I could also browse all the available sessions without any difficulty.
Cons
Unfortunately, some key integrations that were promised when I signed up still aren't available, even after two years. Clio Payments isn't fully automated yet, so I still have to go through a lot of manual steps. I've also experienced long delays with support tickets, sometimes going unanswered for weeks, and there's a noticeable lack of accountability from both the support and product teams. On top of that, the platform doesn't seem to be well-suited for the specific needs of Australian legal practices.

Easy planning but versioning issues
Pros
I find the tasks feature really helpful for planning and tracking our workflow. The templates are also a big plus they give us a solid starting point for each case, which saves time and keeps things consistent.
Cons
It can get confusing when multiple people are editing the same file at once. It often leads to versioning issues, and we sometimes end up with multiple versions of the same document, which can be a bit of a mess.

Frustrating experience and switching software
Pros
Honestly there wasn't anything I liked about it.
Cons
I really don't like it. They won't let me pause my annual subscription while I work on transitioning my law firm to Clio which just feels unreasonable. They're not willing to cooperate with a subscription plan that would actually make them more money. Honestly it feels like they don't care so I'll be switching to Practice Panther instead and definitely won't be renewing with them.

Good service
Pros
It's easy to use and the website layout is simple to navigate. Customer service is good and Clio is always coming up with new features to improve its product.
Cons
I wish that Clio grow and its manage could be merged. They don't communicate fully and it's a bit of an inconvenience trying to get them to sync up properly.

Helpful resources
Pros
I like that it has an academy where you can learn how to use the software properly. They also have a really detailed help section so I can get assistance whenever I need it and most of the time, I find a solution. I also appreciate that it lets you track a client from start to finish and gives you the option to input as much information as you want.
Cons
What bothers me most about Clio is the difficulty in invoicing clients on a flat rate. While it allows flat rate billing it doesn't let you break down the time with descriptions of what was done without jumping through a bunch of hoops. You can do it but it takes a lot of extra steps and wastes a lot of time.

Efficient intake process
Pros
ClioGrow really speeds up client intake. I can easily track the intake process from first contact all the way through to the completion of the engagement.
Cons
It would be amazing if my time spent using Outlook could automatically convert to billable time in it. That would save me so much time and effort.

Simple to use but lacks features
Pros
simple to use, and it's also visually appealing which makes it easy to work with.
Cons
Missing features like team chat and the task management is terrible. Also I really wish grow, manage and accounting were all on the same screen. I don't understand why they need to be in three separate windows.

Effortless tracking but slow navigation
Pros
It's super easy to use and it helps me keep track of important information effortlessly.
Cons
It's frustrating that you can't navigate easily from one activity to another in the entry window without having to exit and click on the next one. It wastes a lot of time. Also when a payment is made on a bill the bill still shows the full original amount as outstanding. It should automatically update to reflect the payment.
