Easy to use and effective

Pros

I love that there are no complicated multi-subscription plans for each tool. The naming conventions are very clear and customizing everything is also very Sharing custom task views takes just two clicks and setting everything up is really easy. It's perfect for both small and big projects.

Cons

Some features still feel like they're in development and the loading time on some of the more complex interfaces can take about 3-5 seconds. Not a huge deal but something to note.

Great PM tool

Pros

I had to quickly enroll around 25 people in a project management tool and Plane got the job done. My main concern was that most users aren't very tech-savvy, so I needed a solution that wasn't too complicated or had too many features. Luckily It made it easy to hide the extra stuff from most users. The entire deployment including migrating from our previous tool, took less than two weeks. One thing I really love is how fast It is. I can switch between hundreds of tasks without it ever lagging.

Cons

The analytics feature is pretty basic and if you want custom issue types, you'll need to upgrade to a higher license tier.

Fantastic tool for handling project management

Pros

There's so much I love about Plane but one of my top features is how easy it is to create checklists within a card. As a developer I find it essential to have a clear task list and being able to quickly update it without any effort is a game-changer. Some project management tools make you write checklists out one by one but this tool makes it simple with a bulleted list which is perfect for me. I also love the different view options like table, kanban/board and timeline. Plus I can block issues that depend on others and filter updates or comments easily. I keep my completed tasks in the comments section and my ongoing to-do list in the card description. The ability to color text within the description is also super useful. On top of that I can personalize the theme on my desktop and use the mobile app. And the best part is, if I need help, customer support is just a chat bubble away.

Cons

There are just a couple of things I think could be better but they're not dealbreakers at all. First I think the word "issues" feels negative "tasks" would be a better fit. I've heard they're working on changing this. Second the hyper mode hidden in the help section made my counts go a little haywire, probably because of some caching issues in my browser which ended up showing a higher count than the actual visible tasks. Those are really my only two complaints but I know everyone uses this tool a little differently. The biggest downside for me might be how businesses implement the software. If it's not used correctly, it won't be helpful. Maybe a more structured approach for creating tasks or an optional tutorial on how to get the most out of Plane would fix that.
