Handy software for managing

Pros

In a big company with multiple managers and interconnected projects, It has been a lifesaver. It lets me set up Gantt charts for different projects, assign managers and set timelines. I can easily track where we stand each week what's on schedule, what's late and what's done. The graphic Gantt is automatically updated by just entering the start and end dates. The best part? It's ridiculously cheap. I totally recommend it.

Cons

Personally, I think the graphics could use some work. With all the advanced features, I expected a more modern interface.

Efficient PM tool!

Pros

This tool is really easy for me to use when managing and controlling different stages and tasks of my projects. It makes everything so much smoother and I can stay on top of things without any issue.

Cons

Since it's free, I didn't really find anything that could be considered negative.

Gantt chart tool for project management

Pros

In a small company like Happy srl, it's veryhelpful for managing projects with Gantt charts. I just enter the activity name, time and resources and it automatically draws up the Gantt chart for me.

Cons

The graphics could definitely be better. Right now it feels a little basic.

Free tool for managing projects

Pros

The best part? It's free! PM software with almost all the important features. It's simple to use and makes managing projects easy. There's even a portable version!

Cons

You can't customize the calendar like you can in MS Project. It also doesn't work well when you have a lot of tasks (like over 1000). The UI needs some work to look better and it could use more features similar to MS Project.

Project scope & functionality

Pros

For a free tool, I'm really impressed with how many features ProjectLibre offers. It's pretty amazing.

Cons

It was pretty difficult to get it to work with other products.

Needs further development

Pros

It gives me all the same results as Microsoft Project, which I've always relied on for my project management needs but the best part is that it's completely open-source! I get the same powerful features without having to pay for expensive licenses.

Cons

It's not very simple to use. The user experience could definitely be improved.

Powerful alternative to Microsoft Project

Pros

I've been using It for years but the price kept going up, so I started looking for an alternative. We use Microsoft 365 and Project used to be included but then it became an extra charge. After a while the price kept increasing. We found It and it's pretty much a free version of MS Project, perfect fit for us.

Cons

I've noticed some strange behavior when importing MPP files. Most of the time it works fine but occasionally it messes up the time baseline.

Few downsides but as good as others

Pros

What's really great about this tool is that it works on multiple platforms. I'm using it on my Linux computer and it's easily the best alternative to Microsoft Project. Plus the printing options where you can adjust the timeline and paper size are awesome for an open-source tool. Our company is all about open-source software and we used to use TaskJuggle which is powerful but difficult to use.

Cons

I have been using this product for years but one thing I'd like is a project header title. I usually just put the project title at the footer. It would be nice if they added more flexibility to change the colors of the Gantt bars.

Solid pick to replace MS Project

Pros

It is a true offline project management tool. It has all the features you need to plan and follow a project and the best part? It's completely free!

Cons

The interface isn't as complete as MS Project. Sometimes it's a bit disappointing. For example, it's hard to resize the Gantt view.

Great way to organize and track your build

Pros

The tool makes scheduling projects really interesting. It has so many features that make it a great choice for developer teams. It lets me track my work after scheduling tasks so I always know what's completed and what still needs to be done to meet deadlines. The graphics are attractive too. If the project deadline gets extended, I can adjust the timeline without messing up the sequence of tasks. One of the best features is that it automatically creates Gantt charts, workflows and other plots from the details I provide while scheduling, saves so much time especially for the management team.

Cons

Some features are hard to find since there aren't many categories to choose from. But once you get used to it, it's fine. For really big projects it can be hard to use especially when the small modules are the majority.
