Works best for organizations with set processes
Pros

Workday works great for large organizations like ours. It handles payroll, benefits tracking, enrollment, performance reviews and much more for us and that too with ease. However mid-sized businesses might find it harder to adapt.

Cons

The user experience wasn't that good as we expected. Also it feels clunky and hard to navigate. Also at times, just accessing it becomes frustrating and confusing. Even though it works well for things like performance reviews and benefits enrollment, but the interface is not as smooth or user-friendly as other HCM systems. Since ease of use is so important, some improvements would make a big difference.

A decent program that covers the basics
Pros

Works well for my clinic. Plus signing in with it is quick and easy.

Cons

It is not very user-friendly. Also setting it up is not easy as it takes more steps than other similar programs.

Support is helpful
Pros

Workday FAQs and support are really helpful. Also everything is well-organized as it allows us to cover employment details, payslips and more all in one place.

Cons

Even though it has all the needed features, but wording mismatches (like pay grade levels) can cause confusion. Because of this, we sometimes rely on external software or have to explain things again in person.

Great for handling the basics
Pros

Downloading tax documents and payslips is fast and simple. Moreover managing performance reviews and talent tracking is easy once we get used to the interface. And the best part is that it provides us quick access to pay history and performance reviews.

Cons

There's not much to complain about from an employee's perspective. However, I have heard that the recruiting process is little tricky. Also, when PTO is requested, it doesn't always subtract from the total balance right away. And onboarding is almost nonexistent after entering personal info at least in my organization, it does not seem useful at all.

Great for streamlining admin and payroll work
Pros

Workday makes it easy for us to find important documents like pay slips and insurance records. Plus, the clock-in/clock-out plugin comes in very handy.

Cons

One issue I have noticed is that loading documents and reports is slow sometimes.

Easy to use software
Pros

The best thing about Workday HCM is that it is user-friendly. Plus it's strong automation, smooth integrations and an easy to navigate UI make things simpler for both our employees and employers.

Cons

Setting up Workday takes a lot of time and resources. And yes, it is flexible but some customizations need technical expertise, which makes it not so user-friendly.
