Not worth using

Pros

I really liked how It gave us a Trello-style setup right inside GitHub. GitHub's built-in project management wasn't the best but Itmade things a lot better and more manageable.

Cons

The company locked me out of my account but still charged me for the annual subscription. I only realized it later and when I asked for a refund, they wouldn't give me one. Very frustrating experience.

Hands down the best task tool out there

Pros

I've been pretty happy with how it handles task management. Managing multiple projects, tracking statuses and using boards to monitor everything has mostly worked really well for me.

Cons

There's honestly nothing I don't like about ZenHub. It's an all-rounder, does everything I need it to do.

Solid upgrade for working with GitHub issues

Pros

The GitHub integration is awesome. The Kanban board works like a charm and I love how well Epics and Stories are handled. Honestly it has everything I need for managing tickets in an agile way.

Cons

Their UI can annoying sometimes. Like if I click out of a sidebar or modal, I assume my changes are saved but they're not. Once you get used to it, it's manageable but it still catches me off guard especially during estimate sessions.

Hook ZenHub up with GitHub ASAP

Pros

It connects with GitHub so smoothly that it was a no-brainer for our team. The whole setup just works perfectly for how we manage our work.

Cons

The product can be slow at times but I think that might be because our boards are pretty huge. Still it slows things down when I need to move fast.

totally works for GitHub teams

Pros

ZenHub's project scheduling and management features are super advanced, sometimes even better than top project tools out there. It's designed with GitHub in mind, so it fits software projects perfectly. The enterprise version adds some awesome tools for devs that go beyond what GitHub gives you. Tasks are really easy to create and manage, thanks to the intuitive interface. It basically fills in the project management gaps GitHub has, making it a great fit for managing big software projects. Tracking bugs and issues is simple too, though we still lean on GitHub for that part.

Cons

Price feels steep for big projects. I think having more flexible pricing would help a lot. Also I've noticed some small GUI bugs pop up now and then but to be fair the dev team is really responsive when I report stuff.

I wouldn't rely on this tool

Pros

It honestly feels like a way better dashboard for GitHub. It just looks and works better.

Cons

I spent hours setting up our whole project management system in ZenHub. A week later right before a big release, all our records vanished. It completely stalled our workflow. I reached out to the ZenHub team but they were slow to get back to me. It turns out they're a pretty small team and honestly it felt like they couldn't handle the urgency of our issue. It's been two full days and our records are still gone. They haven't fixed it and we had to delay our release. Now I'm spending my weekend moving everything to a different system. Total mess.

Best tool I've found for scrum workflows

Pros

This tool has been a beast in my project management toolkit. ZenHub's simplicity and integrations are top-notch. It's easy to get started and works smoothly with the team. I can set up multiple boards and have tickets sync across them however I need. I always go with Itfor new projects. I love that I can set it up so support tickets go right into dev boards and even tie into the product roadmap. It's super flexible, creates the reports I need and is so easy to use and that's why it's always my go-to.

Cons

I've only got good things to say about ZenHub. It's been a solid experience for me.

Awesome for managing work

Pros

The Kanban board gives me a solid look at what our dev team's up to. It's very helpful for knowing when I should jump in like during the estimation or QA phases. As a product designer, it helps me track where GitHub issues stand, drop feedback during QA and answer design questions quickly. My favorite part? The GitHub integration. It adds a whole new layer that makes project management and estimation way easier.

Cons

There's really nothing negative I can say. It does exactly what we need for project management.

Fav tool for team collaboration

Pros

This is such an easy collaboration tool to get up and running with, I just added it to Chrome and the interface is really simple to use. Nothing too complicated to figure out.

Cons

It'd be nice to have more customization options for stories or cards. Also wouldn't mind seeing some stronger security features added in.

Step up your GitHub workflow

Pros

Their clean and simple design makes managing issues a lot clearer and even kind of fun. Everything I need is in one place and it's still super easy to use. Since the last update, issues load even faster. Ever since we started using ZenHub we haven't gone back to anything else for handling issues and pull requests. I love that I can set up a workspace that pulls in all our repos so we can handle everything, issues, milestones etc.

Cons

Right now, the only thing we're missing is a way to see the commit hash when an issue is closed via Git push. Other than that, it's great.
