Tool for community engagement
Pros

One feature I really appreciate is the ability to create private channels for my C-executive team and have full control over who can access them. It gives me the flexibility to keep sensitive discussions secure while ensuring the right people are involved. What I also love is the variety of ways I can access it, whether through a web browser, the software on my desktop, or the mobile app. This ensures I can stay connected with my community no matter where I am or what device I'm using. Also, I find the integration of third-party apps, like Calendly to be very useful as it streamlines my workflow and makes scheduling so much easier.

Cons

I find it really confusing to locate the people and conversations where I've been tagged or mentioned. Sometimes Slack sends me notifications via email, which I prefer but many times it does not. Also, I do not like the video call feature. The quality is poor and the screen sharing functionality is not very effective for my needs.

Service that stands out
Pros

I find it great for team management and I love the fact that I can access it on all my devices. The ability to add guest users to specific channels is also a feature I appreciate and the integration with other platforms is really easy.

Cons

I honestly like everything about it; I can't think of anything that I would consider negative.

go for something else
Pros

For me, chatting with individuals works really well. The direct messaging feature is simple yet effective.

Cons

Overall, it feels like Slack is slacking. It resembles a slightly upgraded version of what Microsoft Messenger used to be. It attempts to integrate meetings, voice functionality and calls but doesn't quite hit the mark.

Favorite among tech companies
Pros

It's now the standard for most tech companies and I believe the user experience is much smoother than similar tools.

Cons

The search function in Slack doesn't quite live up to my expectations. It only worsens bad communication practices.

Reliable communication solution
Pros

I really like how easy Slack is to use when communicating with people. It can also be personalized to suit my preferences, making it even better for me.

Cons

I do wish that everyone would stop messaging me but I realize that this is not really a Slack problem. Thankfully, I can mute everyone if necessary and I find that feature perfect.
